LEWISVILLE HIGH SCHOOL STADIUM GUIDELINES
The following items are prohibited in all LISD football stadiums: backpacks, firearms, alcohol, tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) and artificial noisemakers.
FACEBOOK - @LewisvilleHighSchoolBand Photos, comments, and updates will be posted on our Facebook page all day. Scoring recaps will be posted after the contest. Please tag Lewisville High School Band if you post photos at the contest, so we can share in your students’ experience!
FIRST AID
There will be a minimal First-Aid station available. Consult a contest Official if you need help locating.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING POLICIES
Cameras are allowed into the stadium and may be used for photographs in the stadium. Video recording is not permitted except for one video designee for each group who may record your performance for training and educational purposes. In compliance with copyright law, Lewisville will not provide video recordings.
DIGITAL COMMENTARY AND RECAPS
Prior to the event, your primary instructor will be given access to a CompetitionSuite profile to access your audio commentary, which will be available after your performance. After the awards ceremony, your score sheets will be published there, and a recap will be published at LewisvilleBand.com/ldi.
CONTEST FORMAT
Three judges will critique all components of the stadium performance and make constructive comments. The Judges score each drumline, with the weight of their numbers placing 40% of the value on technical proficiency, 40% on musicality and 20% on composition. Their numbers are added to arrive at the drumline’s total score. Outstanding caption awards are determined according to judge consensus.
PRE-SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT
You will be sent a google form prior to contest day via email to fill out, which will be used to announce your group before your performance.
ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN
Arriving at Lewisville High School: Busses & trucks enter via Main Street. Our traffic team will assist with parking. The check in desk is near the stadium spectator entrance. Check in 30 minutes prior to warm-up time to receive wristbands and director passes for your group. Spectators must enter using the entrance on Valley Parkway.
WARM-UP
There are three warm-up areas, marked A,B, and C In the parking lot adjacent to the Bus Parking area. Consult the contest map. It is your responsibility to arrive at your warm-up area on time. If you arrive late, you must still exit at the scheduled time. Volunteers will assist with timing and movement.
TIMING AND MOVEMENT
You have 45 minutes of Parking Lot warm-up. We plan 10 minutes of travel time to the entry gate. You have 15 minutes total to enter, perform, and exit.
STADIUM POWER AND MOTORIZED VEHICLES
Electrical power is not available at the Lewisville High School Stadium. Generators will be needed to power sound equipment and microphones. If a generator is not available to your program, please send an email to [email protected] and we will find a solution. At no time may a motorized vehicle be inside the playing area of the field.
RE-ENTRY
Our officials provide wristbands for student performers, staff, and spectators to re-enter the stadium.
STUDENT LEADER AWARDS RETREAT
There will be three retreats throughout the contest. Standstill A Maroon awards at 4:15pm, Standstill A Silver awards at dinner break and Standstill Open and Novice Class awards at the conclusion of the contest (~10:00pm.) Schools are welcome to depart before retreat, or send representatives back to receive awards. Every drumline will be recognized.
